Electroplating
All Rubato dials and chains are electroplated using superlative methods. Nonetheless, the electroplating remains susceptible to wear. Thereby, Rubato recommends removing your timepiece in situations where it may come in contact with water, cream, hairspray, makeup, or perfume. Additionally, cleaning your timepiece with a soft cloth before storage can prevent wear out by oils from the skin and debris from the atmosphere.
Please note that falls or contact with sharp objects may also cause damage to the electroplating.
Water Resistance
All Rubato timepieces have a water-resistant rating of 3 ATM and are apt for everyday wear. However, Rubato strongly recommends removing your timepiece before bathing, swimming, diving, or performing any activity exposing it to water. Please note that silk straps are highly vulnerable to damage by rain, thereby, Rubato recommends you remove your timepiece even in light rain.
In order to ensure longevity of your timepiece, please store the same in a cool and dry place, away from humidity and extreme temperatures. Additionally, the timepiece should be stored in its original packaging, covered with the muslin cloth.
Kindly note, any damage sustained by your timepiece due to contact with water is not covered under the Rubato International Warranty.
Battery
All Rubato timepieces are sold with a battery saver in the crown. Please remove the plastic tab and press the crown into the side of the case in order to activate your timepiece.
The average life of a standard silver oxide button cell battery is between one (1) to two (2) years. The life cycle of said battery is dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, and air pressure. Rubato cannot be held liable for battery replacement should your battery die before the mentioned time period.
In a situation where your timepiece stops functioning and requires battery replacement, please reach out to us at contact@shoprubato.com or fill in our Customer Service Form. You may enlist battery replacement services from a third party if your timepiece is no longer covered under the Rubato International Warranty.
Straps
All Rubato straps show variations in colour and texture, characteristic of the distinctions and imperfections in the grains of super fiber. Over time straps may pigment, fade, darken, or crease. Please note that this is a natural ageing process and showcases the beauty of organic materials. It should not be considered a flaw or a quality issue.
In order to ensure longevity of your straps, Rubato recommends you prevent exposure of the same to intense sunlight, heat, and humidity. Additionally, exposure to water, oils (including skin oils), and makeup can also stain the straps.
